UK Sales Representative

Carlson is seeking an entrepreneurial, resourceful and highly motivated sales and business development professional to spearhead our entry into the UK market. You will take a hands-on approach to generating leads, consultatively engaging prospects, closing deals and ensuring customer success. You will cultivate trusting relationships with our growing ecosystem of solution and service partners. You will be comfortable in a start-up environment, backed by a successful 3x Inc. 5000 firm, where personal performance and leadership is critical. You will have the flexibility and determination to participate in any activity that contributes to Carlson’s success with our international expansion.

The candidate will be committed to providing our prospective clients with exceptional service and relentlessly driving new activity. You will focus on lead generation programs and their execution including email, telephone and in-person activities. You will identify and engage prospects who are typically senior Finance and Accounting professionals. Ideally, you will have experience selling, or using, financial software (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Oracle, IBM, or Cognos). Excellent collaboration and proactive participation with our US-based marketing and sales team will contribute to our mutual success. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct and manage sales cycle process from initial contact through close.
  • Having the desire and energy to complete a high volume of daily calls/activities.
  • Commitment to continually building a pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Outbound prospecting for the UK (and potentially other countries).
  • Tracking activity and sales progress in
  • Being accountable for your activity and bookings targets.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to localize messaging, create campaigns and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share proven approaches and attain sales targets.
  • Participate in webinars, seminars, conferences and other lead generating events.
  • Periodic travel including to the U.S. headquarters in the Boston area.


  • Proven track record in sales and business development is essential.
  • Domain expertise in selling software solutions and services to finance and accounting professionals.
  • Enjoy the challenge of telephone sales and be comfortable with remote working.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and experience helping to build a sales, delivery and support team.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Dependent on experience but will include Base + Bonus + Benefits.
