Intacct Implementation Consultant

Carlson is seeking experienced Intacct implementation consultants.  Responsibilities include working with customers to implement Intacct’s best-in-class cloud ERP software following our structured implementation methodology.  Activities include meeting with customers to define and document business requirements, translating requirements to Intacct software solutions by documenting solutions and configuring the Intacct software, gathering and loading customer data, developing reports, and delivering training.  The consultant may work on projects with multiple team members all reporting to a project manager or as an independent consultant on projects where the consultant is responsible for all aspects of project delivery including project management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver successful projects following our implementation methodology.
  • Lead requirements analysis meetings by interviewing customers and determining business requirements.
  • Identify creative and effective solutions with the Intacct software to address customer business requirements.
  • Produce professional, detailed documentation including the functional requirements and solution definition documents.
  • Configure the Intacct software requiring in-depth product knowledge and hands-on skills.
  • Validate and load customer data using the Intacct data management tools.
  • Construct financial and custom reports using the Intacct report writing tools.
  • Lead customers, plan projects and tasks, budget effort, and monitor progress.
  • Provide regular status reports/updates on work assignments to customers and project managers.
  • Communicate best practices throughout a project to help guide customers with effective and maintainable solutions.
  • Complete projects and assignments on-time and within budget.
  • Achieve utilization targets and track work time accurately within Carlson’s time tracking system.
  • Build positive relationships with customer personnel and serve as a reliable and trusted advisor.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Ideal candidates must be self-motivated with a proven track record of implementing Intacct software solutions. Candidates should have experience following a process based methodology and working directly with customers through all phases of the project delivery lifecycle. Candidates should be ready to work in a dynamic, fast paced atmosphere with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidates must be organized, analytical, capable of working remotely and independently or as part of a team, adept at defining and adhering to project schedules, and skilled in handling multiple priorities. Additional qualifications candidates will have are shown below:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience implementing Intacct solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and accounting principles (CPA a big plus).
  • Exposure to a broad range of industries and business scenarios including:  software provider, contract management, services project accounting, revenue management, franchise model, international business, and inventory control.
  • Experience leading software implementation projects or components of a project as a team lead including customer personnel with responsibility for task planning/scheduling, budgeting and change control, resources, scope, on-time delivery, sign-offs, and status reporting (PMP certification a nice-to-have).
  • Adept at solving complex problems.
  • Intuitiveness and passion for software and technology.
  • Proven and demonstrable communication, business writing, and presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, positive-minded, customer focused, and service oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Systems, Business, and/or Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel minimally as required.
